Traditional insulation methods use clamps and mountings attached directly to the product pipe. This involves penetrating the surrounding insulation layer which means:
moisture intrusion, danger of corrosion and increased heat loss.
The RAPID System uses polyurethane foam to create a firm mechanical bond between the product pipe and the protective outer casing. Mountings and supporting clamps are attached only to the casing, which means:
No moisture intrusion, no danger of corrosion and no increased heat loss.
The polyurethane foam used in the RAPID System consists of very tightly bonded cells which absorb practically no moisture:
No change is possible in the insulating effect.
Due to low conductivity of the polyurethane foam, considerably lower heat losses occur for any given insulation thickness. this means that casings of considerably smalier diameter ean be used to achieve the same heat retention coefficient, this means:
Space-saving with reduced fitting and maintenance costs.
